CS signs new ITS contract for Polish toll road project

French turnkey systems integrator, CS, has announced that it has signed a new contract with Intertoll Construction Sp z o o for the second phase of the A1 Motorway project in Poland. This further contract follows its successful implementation of the complete toll and traffic control system on the first phase of the project, which runs from Gdansk to Nowe Marzy (90km).

The second phase of the project runs from Nowe Marzy to Torun (63km) and includes two turnkey projects for CS. They are for a complete toll system, including 16 automatic entry points, 23 sets of manual exit lane equipment, software supervision and an integrated back-office system. There is also a traffic management and control system, which includes an emergency call network, traffic counting system, dynamic weighing system and a fiber-optic backbone communication system.

The two-year contract includes design, build, integration, installation and maintenance of all the systems. “This new reference in Poland reinforces the confidence we have built with Intertoll and its European subsidiaries and confirm our strong positioning in Central Europe – a fast-growing market for road infrastructure and communication,” says Eric Blanc-Garin, CEO of CS Group.
