Traffic Tech continues Gulf expansion with new contract in Abu Dhabi

Traffic Tech (Gulf) has been awarded a US$4.5 million traffic signal maintenance contract by the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport for the Al Ain Municipality. The contract will run for two years and will cover the maintenance and development of all traffic signals throughout the city. The Traffic Tech Group’s Bahrain-based company, Middle East Integrated Systems (MEIS), has also been awarded Bahrain’s traffic signal maintenance contract, which covers over 280 intersections throughout the island state. The Traffic Tech Group now holds traffic signal maintenance contracts in four countries in the region; Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Jordan.

The Group’s president and CEO, Husam Musharbash, commented, “As we continue to expand our operations, these new contracts become invaluable, as they help us sustain the growth objectives of our business. Having traffic signal maintenance contracts in all of the four key countries where we are based, signifies the trust and confidence of our clients and reinforces our leadership in the traffic signals and Urban Traffic Control (UTC) systems market in the region.”

The Traffic Tech Group has also announced that its Qatar-based electro-mechanical contracting arm, Mega E&M Trading and Contracting, has been certified to ISO 9001:2008 standard. It becomes the group’s third ISO-certified company in the region. Mega E&M’s general manager, Nader Saeed, commented, “We are pleased with this achievement, as it signifies our total commitment to international quality standards, giving us a competitive edge in the market. Our standardized processes and procedures ensure that our services are consistently delivered to our clients with the highest level of quality that will help secure the future growth of our business.”
