Sensys Networks appoints new worldwide VP of sales and marketing

Sensys Networks, a provider of wireless traffic detection and data systems, has announced that David Plumer has joined the company as its worldwide VP of sales and marketing. He will be reporting directly to the company’s CEO and co-founder, Amine Haoui, and comes to Sensys from LED technology company, Bridgelux, where he was most recently the chief commercial officer. Plumer has over 30 years of senior management and business leadership, spanning the IT, power and clean technology sectors. He has held senior executive roles at American Power Conversion (APC) and was president of APC’s Asia Pacific region as well as senior VP of the global IT business unit. He was a member of the APC executive team whose success resulted in the company’s US$6 billion cash acquisition by Schneider Electric.

Prior to joining APC, Plumer was with IBM, where he held a number of executive management positions in sales, marketing, product management and technology operations and spent half of his career with the company based in Asia, leading rapid growth in the region’s emerging markets. He holds degrees from Union College and the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Taking his new position, Plumer said, “I’m looking forward to working with the great team of people Sensys Networks has assembled to continue to help its customers solve their transportation related problems and provide them with a world class customer service.” Welcoming him to the company, Amine Haoui, CEO of Sensys Networks, said, “I am very excited to have someone of Dave’s caliber and decades of experience join our company, to help us continue to accelerate our fast growth.”
