Vysionics to launch new camera at Traffex 2013

Vysionics ITS has announced that it will launch its new Vector ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera system at the 2013 Traffex show in Birmingham, UK. The Vector’s design allows number plates to be captured and read across two lanes in challenging conditions from a single, highly-capable and compact integrated unit. Two high-resolution cameras provide ANPR and scene overview images, including a day/night mode, which allows image capture even on a completely dark road. Images can be transferred via a wide range of communications media, or stored on local high capacity memory. A GPS clock, compass, accelerometer and two light sensors allow the Vector to dynamically adapt to a changing operational environment, supporting even the most challenging enforcement applications.

The Vector provides a common platform for multiple advanced ANPR applications, including: average speed enforcement; bus lane enforcement; level crossing or red-light enforcement; ‘Yellow Box’ junction violations; tolling; and Journey Time Measurement (JTM). Vysionics ITS was created in 2010, when Computer Recognition Systems and Speed Check Services joined forces. The company has a track record of delivering innovative ANPR systems, which includes the world’s first: ANPR reader (1979), ANPR security cordon (1996), HOTA average speed system (1999), and VCA bus lane system (2009).
