Fluidtime to present its MaaS systems at IT-TRANS public transport show

Fluidtime, a Kapsch Group Company, will be demonstrating its latest Integrated Mobility (IM) and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) systems at this week’s IT-TRANS event, taking place in Karlsruhe, Germany, from March 6-8.

A biennial event, IT-TRANS is the most important conference and trade fair for intelligent public transport solutions in German-speaking countries. Founded in 2004 in Vienna, fellow Austrian company Kapsch TrafficCom took a 75% stake Fluidtime in 2016, allowing the multi-award-winning company to further strengthen its IM and MaaS market position.

At IT-TRANS, Fluidtime be will presenting MaaS-offerings based on its FluidHub service platform. A cloud-based service solution for MaaS-applications in cities and regions, FluidHub combines traveler demand with a city’s integrated mobility offerings by creating a seamless data transfer between mobility service providers and public transport service operators.

The versatile mobility offering is supplemented by various technical components, such as payment features, routing or subscription models. By using MaaS-solutions based on FluidHub technology, it becomes easier, more climate-friendly, and faster for end users to travel from A to B.

Several hundred transport services in 28 cities and regions worldwide are currently integrated in FluidHub, allowing new MaaS-solutions to be launched much faster. At IT-TRANS, Fluidtime will be demonstrating several applications of its technology, including:

• A ride-sharing simulation for the city of Karlsruhe developed by one of Fluidtime’s technology partners, Vinka. In addition to travel requests, the solution also includes fleet management based on real-time traffic information, the display of vehicle locations and simulated trips;
• Fluidtime will also introduce its project with Helsinki Business Hub that focuses on the optimization of special needs transportation for the elderly, or those with disabilities or health issues, through a shared last-mile mobility service. The app connects public transport with subsidized transport services, only displaying available vehicles, with booking and payment taking place within the platform. Together with its Finnish partners Sito and Vinka, Fluidtime is piloting the project in Helsinki, with the cities of Espoo and Vantaa to follow;
• Stockholm’s (Sweden) UbiGo full-range mobility app uses FluidHub for data management, combining public transport, carsharing, car rentals and taxis, in an intermodal transport system;
• With the Portuguese startup Mobiag, Fluidtime has developed a white label app connecting all shared mobility offerings, displaying the best multi-modal travel route for the end user, who can then book and pay for their journey;
