Our Senior Travel Data Analyst (TE4) will develop and evaluate plans, study methodologies and criteria for assigned problems and projects related to both travel and roadway data, and inform decision makers on issues involving traffic and roadway performance.
Your curiosity to explore large sets of raw data along with your experience with managing data, queries and reporting in Excel will be essential to success. The opportunity at the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Tumwater, Washington, office will make a direct impact on helping make transportation work better for people and communities.
Serving as the traffic/travel data expert, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining methodologies for statistical analyses to generate traffic statistics for agency-wide applications. Both independently and as a project team leader, you will prepare reports of the traffic data maintained by the Travel Data and Analysis Branch in TDGMO (Transportation Data, GIS & Modeling Office).
