Multimodal Developer (TPS5) – Washington State Department of Transportation

Seattle or Olympia, Washington, USA

Salary: US$69,240-US$90,888 annually (depending upon qualifications)

The opportunity
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an opportunity for a team member with a passion for building coalitions, testing innovative solutions, and solving transportation problems.

You will serve as an expert who brings organizations together to develop, test, and implement multimodal solutions that improve the performance of transportation systems. These efforts will emphasize operational, demand management, and multimodal solutions that make the most of our existing transportation systems, deliver measurable benefits to the public, and serve vulnerable populations.

Through these efforts you will develop best practices, evaluate lessons learned, and build public acceptance for innovative approaches to transportation. The results of your work will be incorporated into organizations' practices, standards, and guidance.

This position is in WSDOT's Public Transportation Division and will work out of either our downtown Seattle or Olympia, Washington, office.

Successful candidates will have experience leading teams delivering innovative, multimodal transportation solutions. Candidates will also be adept at collaborative problem solving, measuring performance, and delivering projects and programs.

Our customers include local, state and federal agencies, community groups, service providers, advocacy groups, employers, local communities, and more.
