Transportation System Technician B – Electrical - Washington State Department of Transportation

Tumwater, Washington, USA

Salary: US$56,844-US$67,584 (annually, depending on qualifications)

The Opportunity:

WSDOT’s Tumwater Transportation Data GIS & Modeling Office (TDGMO) seeks a Transportation Systems Technician B - Electrical, to be responsible for overseeing electrical systems at statewide permanent data stations owned and maintained by the TDGMO office.

As a TST B electrical technician in the Travel Data and Analysis branch, this position will also work with the Electronics team in installation and repair of statewide permanent weigh-in-motion and data stations.

In this position you will be responsible for all electrical systems maintained and installed by the Electronics team, and ensure they are done to National Electrical Code (NEC) and Washington State Department of Transportation standards. The incumbent will also work with low voltage systems owned and maintained by the TDGMO.  

This position will be a great fit for someone who demonstrates good judgment, takes initiative to get things done and enjoys the challenge of working in a sometimes high-pressure environment.
