Traffic / ITS Engineer I or II – Sabra, Wang & Associates, Inc

Washington DC, USA

Sabra, Wang & Associates, Inc. has an opening for an Entry or Mid-Level Traffic / ITS Engineer in its Washington, DC office.

Duties of the position:
• Perform traffic analysis, signal timing optimization and field traffic operations studies.
• Prepare design plans for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS). 
• Compile traffic data; perform analysis of traffic patterns and trends using big data. 
• Prepare technical reports. 
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations. 
• May include working at local client offices (DC, MD, VA area). 

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in civil or electrical engineering. 
• Excellent writing skills. A writing sample will be requested prior to an interview. The interview will include a written response. 
• Good presentation and verbal communication skills. 
• E.I.T. Certification or ability to obtain within three months of employment. 
• Knowledge of Synchro, VISSIM and other traffic analysis tools. 
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must have access to a vehicle to be able to conduct traffic studies throughout the VA, MD and DC area (company reimburses travel expenses). 

Compensation:
• Salary commensurate with experience.
