Maintenance Specialist 3 – Washington State Department of Transportation

Clark County, Vancouver, Washington, USA

Salary: US$62,436-US$72,456 (annually)

The Southwest Region Vancouver office at the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who would like to lead a team in managing and installing large traffic control signs.

The Maintenance Specialist 3 needs to be adaptive and able to independently make decisions regarding their daily work activities and the correct installation of large signs. These signs provide uniformity, guidance, and safety for all elements of the traveling public including vehicular traffic, pedestrian traffic, and bicycle traffic.

The Maintenance Specialist 3 is also responsible for the repair, servicing and installation of impact attenuators in the region. This can be a challenging job – it's all about the weather, and the traffic because when one of these elements change, it's up to the Maintenance Specialist 3 as a leader to ensure that the job still gets done.

Therefore, this leader is expected to be confident in their abilities, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to come forward and offer solutions to issues.

WSDOT honors diversity in the workplace and supports one another with respect and trust. If you would like to join its team-oriented and continuous improvement environment, offering career stability and growth, consider a career opportunity with WSDOT.
