The Jenoptik Group saw a change in the management of its Smart Mobility Solutions division at the turn of the year: Kevin Chevis retired at the end of 2023. Tobias Deubel took over as his successor on January 1, 2024.
Kevin Chevis joined Jenoptik at the end of 2014 with the acquisition of the British company Vysionics, where he had been CEO since 2010, and took over the role of Head of Division in February 2018. “It was not an easy decision to leave this great team and company after a long journey together, but I decided it was a good time to change my lifestyle and spend more time with family and friends”, said Chevis.
Tobias Deubel took over his responsibilities effective January 1, 2024. He initially joined Jenoptik as an external consultant for a transformation project before taking on the position of Director Global Sales in 2018. He has also been Managing Director of Jenoptik Robot GmbH since January 2021.
Jenoptik president and CEO Dr Stefan Traeger comments: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to Kevin for being a true leader for this division for many years during some difficult times. He’s built a great management team and the business has developed into a strong, modern, and competitive organization in the Smart Mobility marketplace.
“I wish Kevin all the best for his future private life, after a long career in the industry. At the same time, I am happy that Tobias accepted to take over this responsibility and I am sure, he will further successfully shape and bring the division forward.”
