Texas owes its transportation primacy in large part to an elite group of visionary leaders whose contributions merit permanent and meaningful places in the State’s history. Guest info: Dr Dennis L Christiansen is agency director emeritus of TTI where he served for 45 years in a multitude of leadership roles. Also a Texas A&M University System Regents Fellow, Dr Christiansen has extensive research experience in traffic operations, transportation planning, and transit planning, and is an international expert in high occupancy vehicle lanes. He was instrumental in forming the Texas Transportation Hall of Honor and has personal knowledge of and experience with many of its inductees.
