The draft agenda has been unveiled for the UK Department for Transport’s two-day Transport Technology Forum (TTF) annual conference, which will be held near Nuneaton next month.
The event, taking place on May 6-8 at the Leonardo Hotel Hinckley Island, will bring together local authorities and transport technology suppliers to discuss key issues in the sector, including Department for Transport (DfT) policy objectives, AI, data, connectivity, cyber security and Digital Traffic Regulation Orders.
One of the key speakers at the event is Professor Sarah Sharples, DfT’s chief scientific adviser, who will discuss: “Transport – from Physical to Digital.” Visitors to the conference will also hear from the DfT’s heads of cybersecurity and AI.
Furthermore, there will be case studies from local authorities who are working to transform their traffic management thanks to money from the Green Light Fund and the Traffic Signals Obsolescence Grant.
The conference will also include updates from the TTF’s working groups, the latest about the 2027 ITS World Congress in the West Midlands and news from ERTICO – ITS Europe. Delegates will also hear a summary of a high-level round table discussion which takes place on the Tuesday before the main conference, along with working group meetings.
For a third year in a row, the event is sponsored by Clearview Intelligence, while AECOM is supporting the high-level round table and Yunex Traffic is sponsoring the opening networking session.
The conference will be held alongside a range of exhibitors including Aimsun, AppyWay, Brightly Software, Castle Surveys, COEVAL, Indra Systems, Messagemaker Displays, NAL, Rennicks, RTEM, smartmicro, SRL Traffic Systems, Starling Technologies, SWARCO, TagMaster UK, Teledyne FLIR, Telraam, Teragence, TRL, TWM Traffic Control, Vaisala, Vianova and Westcotec.
