Siemens Mobility has announced it is launching its signal performance measures (SPM) product into the North American marketplace under the name, SIWAVE Insights. This will be the first product under Siemens Mobility’s new SIWAVE traffic technology platform, the company’s newest product family.
SIWAVE Insights is a cloud-based SPM platform that empowers traffic agencies and industry professionals to improve the efficiency of their intersections It goes beyond typical SPM tools by offering advanced analytics, alarm customization and management and automatic data transfer from Siemens Mobility’s advanced traffic management system, TACTICS, enabling optimized intersection management.
“SIWAVE Insights is more than your typical Signal Performance Measures (SPM) solution,” says Marc Buncher, CEO of Siemens Mobility. “It simplifies intersection management and highlights key problem areas with advanced capabilities like alarm logic builder, making it much easier for traffic professionals to prioritize their actions.”
SIWAVE Insights’ Dashboard provides traffic professionals with a quick overview of problem intersections with three main components: Heat Map, Top 10 Intersections by Alarm, and an Open Alarm Category (customizable.) And with automatic, instantaneous data transfer form Siemens Mobility’s TACTICS program, traffic professionals are able to access their intersections’ data with ease.
Importantly, its customizable features allow alarms and notifications to be designed to meet each city’s unique needs and manage the metrics their own way. And its intuitive user-friendly interface allows technical and non-technical users to feel comfortable to pull, manipulate, analyze and share data with just a few clicks.
By first introducing SIWAVE Insights as the first in its new SIWAVE family of traffic technology products, Siemens Mobility is answering the market’s call for an efficient way to utilize existing traffic management data (i.e. collected from its TACTICS system) to inform traffic engineers with information to better help control intersection activity. The new SIWAVE family of products aims to better meet the future needs for data-drive services.
