UK parking app JustPark has announced a new collaboration with the world’s number one search platform Google, enabling drivers in the UK to find and reserve parking spaces directly through Reserve with Google.
Whilst booking restaurant reservations or hair appointments via Google’s native UI has become the norm for millions, this marks the first time the integration has been applied to helping drivers find parking spaces and then book them online.
The partnership will boost the visibility of thousands of parking spaces offered by JustPark partners across the UK. Drivers can search for parking on Google search and Google Maps and then use the Book Online button on their destination’s Google Business Profile to access JustPark’s website to book a guaranteed parking space.
The integration is available to JustPark’s existing 13 million drivers, as well as those new to the platform. For businesses, this integration also provides increased visibility for pre-bookable parking spaces on Google Search and Google Maps, making for a smoother customer experience.
The initiative builds on JustPark’s current in-car integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, that enables drivers to safely find parking spaces, also via Google Maps, and the option to pre-book them, all whilst on-the-go.
Maricris Reantaso, SVP of product for JustPark, said, “Our integration with Reserve with Google will further simplify parking for millions of drivers across the UK. With just a few clicks, they can find their destination, reserve guaranteed parking and pay with ease. It’s another step towards JustPark’s goal of making parking stress-free, no matter how you choose to book.”
Google’s EMEA regional product partnership lead added, “We’re pleased to see JustPark leveraging Google Business profiles to bring this new booking functionality to drivers in the UK. By making parking reservations accessible through Google Search and Maps, this Reserve with Google – Appointment Redirect integration simplifies the journey for users while supporting car park operators with new opportunities to connect with customers.”
