Arizona Department for Transportation is seeking approval for a major improvement project on the state’s most used freeway. As well as adding an extra lane and high occupancy vehicle lanes in both directions, the DOT intends to also introduce multi-use bridges and collector/distributor lanes to reduce lane changes on the freeway.
