The City of Boston has announced it is partnering with the World Economic Forum and Boston Consulting Group to undertake an extensive autonomous vehicle trial on its streets. The project will look at not only at how NuTonomy autonomous cars will operate, but how they will interact with the rest of the transportation network and also what demands residents are likely to place on a revolutionized mobility system. Here some of the key players in the trial – including Boston’s mayor and the automotive lead for the World Economic Forum – explain a bit more about what’s going on.
