This video shows how researchers from the European AutoNet2030 project at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) created a solution for connected and automated vehicles to travel in traffic alongside manually-driven vehicles. First, the team developed an algorithm for connected vehicles traveling in convoys to communicate with each other and adjust their speeds accordingly. Then, the researchers demonstrated how the algorithm works, using real vehicles on roads in Sweden. To read our full report on the European AutoNet2030 projectclick here.
