Jaguar Land Rover has developed a system – demonstrated on an autonomous pod in this video – that projects the vehicle’s direction of travel onto the road ahead. In doing so, the system lets other road users know what the vehicle is going to do next. Ultimately, such a system could help to improve road safety when autonomous vehicles are more frequently used on open roads.
